Karl Lagerfeld presented the AW16 collection he designed for Fendi. The presentation of this ready-to-wear collection was during Milan Fashion Week. The inspiration for this collection was everything that had to do with waves. From the hair and accessories down to the shapes and sizes, it all had to do with waves. There are some fashion terms that perfectly described this fashion show; a creative collection with 47 looks that were centered around all things frilly, ruffly and flouncy. It was a very contemporary take on all the wavy textures in fashion, but it surely didn’t feel forced.
The presented collection had lots of trend du jour and was generally speaking, very modern. Thigh-high boots with frilly tops and ruffled dresses and blouses were all present. In conclusion, this collection was a very wearable women collection for 2016. Dark green, marine blue, orange, black, and brown were the main colors for this collection. The dark colors in the clothing contrast the brightly colored make-up looks. Very well-known models like Kendall Jenner, Yasmin Wijnaldum, Taylor Hill, and Stella Maxwell made an appearance walking the fashion show.
Sebastien Lewyllie had the honor to go backstage and photograph the outfits, make-up looks, and accessories that were showcased during this Fendi AW16 fashion show. The result of this experience is beautiful golden pictures with up-close shots. It showcases the models, creators, their looks, and the feeling of content and happiness that went on backstage.
